Earn them (stripes)
Adidas was a seminal account for us. When we met them, they were on their knees; a German export company versus Nike, a global marketing-built brand. For the next 10 years, we helped change the fortunes of adidas by making it younger, hip, and authentic. Our first thought 'Earn them' related to the famous adidas stripes. Many campaigns later, the company had an IPO and returned to former glories. And Leagas Delaney had offices in 56 countries. So we went from a UK domestic agency to a global creative network overnight. Though we no longer work with adidas, we watch on with a little pride in the part we played in achieving their success as a global sports and youth culture icon.
