Post 25/40 - Adidas 'Spelling Trouble'
1998. This campaign for the adidas sponsorship of the New York Yankees really understood the fan base and the extent to which true fans go for their idols. This is our favourite of the many in the campaign by Leagas Delaney San Francisco.
We were all sports nuts, so doing these campaigns for sports or clubs or teams or stars was the best. But each one had a strategic discipline, which though never on-screen, was always driving the brand’s total positioning.
