1997. Working for the BBC was a cause celebre for Leagas Delaney London. This epic was based on a simple premise: the BBC caters for all musical tastes.
It was to become a defining spot for the BBC, winning the attention of the public – the track went to Number 1 – and marking the BBC as a serious ‘advertiser. ’In fact, after this the BBC was named Marketer of the Year, having eschewed marketing since its inception.
